PTEREXma MOBILE TACTICAL EDGE PRODUCT LINE RECEIVES RAVE REVIEWS AT CWID
PROSOFT introduced the pTerexma MTEN Product Line to CWID 2006 at multiple locations
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – July 16, 2006 – PROSOFT announces the introduction of pTerexma MTEN products at the 2006 Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID). CWID is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs
of Staff annual event that enables U.S. Combatant Commands and the international community to investigate new and emerging technologies that can be moved into operational use within 6-12 months following the execution period. The demonstration builds a temporary global network over which cutting edge communications technologies interact to support scripted scenario. Technologies are evaluated for utility, interoperability with existing and new systems, and security.
The pTerexma MTEN assigned objective for our CWID demonstration was to: Enhance the commanders’ coalition command and control capability through secure, scalable and bandwidth sensitive technologies, within and between communities of interest and information domains of differing security classifications.
pTerexma participated at multiple CWID 2006 locations including: Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) – Dahlgren, VA, Space and Naval Warfare Center (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) – San Diego, CA, United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM) – Colorado Springs, CO, and United States European Command (EUCOM) – Stuttgart, Germany. PROSOFT ANNOUNCES REVOLUTIONARY MOBILE TACTICAL EDGE NETWORK (MTEN) PRODUCT LINE
PROSOFT will deliver the pTerexma MTEN Product Line to Customers in Summer of 2006
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – June 3, 2006 – PROSOFT announced today that they will officially debut their long anticipated line of fully integrated, multi-carrier Mobile Tactical Edge Network products at the 2006 Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (2006 CWID). These lightweight, rugged products (being released under the pTerexma Mobile Access—pTerexma—brand name) are designed to seamlessly and transparently manage the global roaming of mobile networks among and between virtually any current or future network—wired, cellular, WiFi, radio and satellite.
Beginning with the summer 2006 release of the pTerexma MTEN 2500, pTerexma customers can finally implement tactical solutions that require secure, transparent, fluid and seamless worldwide roaming of whole subnets of network clients. pTerexma products enable routers and their subnets to be mobile while continuing to maintain connectivity to their home network through any available transport carrier with no user intervention or control. This allows, for example, a plane to fly around the world while the onboard en route Command Team stays connected to their home network (as well as to other dispersed roaming users and subnets). Among the more notable application of pTerexma products currently being assessed by DOD agencies are: Mobile Command, C2 on the Move, Special Operations, tactical edge networks, in theater mesh networks, mobile logistics commands, Deployable Standing Joint Forces HQ, Staff deployments, mobile teams, sustainable first responder communications, and rapid deployment remote communications.
pTerexma Mobile Network products differ significantly from older, inflexible, limited “field,” “portable” or “mobile” (e.g. satellite only) network products. pTerexma products were engineered from the ground up for use in harsh, fluid military environments and are designed to manage and optimize persistent, roaming connectivity to the home network through any available transport carrier—wired, cellular, WiFi, radio or satellite—with no user intervention or control. pTerexma products are fully compliant with all applicable military and commercial standards for security, connectivity, and ruggedness. Engineered for usefulness and longevity, pTerexma products implement all applicable commercial standards in a fully standardized, rugged PC104 framework to ensure forward “form, fit and function” compatibility with future carrier methodologies (e.g. 4.9gHz, 802.16, new satellite systems, etc) and military applications (e.g. JTRS, WIN-T, C2OTM, etc.). Mobile Staff product versions are packaged in a stylish, commercial airline carry on (size and weight), tempest compliant brushed aluminum travel case. An onboard, quick-charging UPS powers the unit for up to seven hours and accepts a charge from virtually any available power source (100 – 240 VAC, 10 – 36 VDC). All pTerexma products are environmentally tolerant, rugged and virtually silent in operation (no fans, motors or moving parts).
pTerexma products are the realization of a major objective of PROSOFT’s long-term, ongoing R&D effort to ensure that the warfighter continues to receive what he has come to expect from PROSOFT. Paul Wong, President and co-founder of PROSOFT, commented that the pTerexma product line “draws and builds on every facet of our 20 year history of providing timely, secure, cutting-edge, useful, reliable, sustainable networking solutions to the Defense community—from our early experience assisting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with the design and implementation of the National Capitol Region DISAnet to our most recent successes in assisting the United States Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) in the design and implementation of secure wireless networks.”
PROSOFT is accepting orders for late summer delivery of the MTEN 2500.
